Question: What are digital books?
Answer: Digital books are electronic copies of your favourite book titles. The content is identical except that there are extra features in our digital Books, such as bookmarks and links between problems and solutions. You can download digital books and read them immediately. In most cases, they are cheaper than their paperback counterparts. Digital books also offer the convenience of portability since you can store your own personal library of digital books on your PC, laptop or handheld device.
Question: Will a digital book run on a Macintosh?
Answer: Yes. Your macintosh already has a PDF reader built into the system so you should not need to install any software to read your digital book. However, in some cases, Apple's PDF reader Preview may have difficulty displaying some of our digital books. We recommend that you download Adobe Acrobat reader from www.adobe.com if you experience difficulties with opening your digital book.
Question: What are the benefits of using a digital book?
Answer: Digital books are compact and portable, you can carry hundreds of digital books on your PDA or portable computer.

- They are always available for download.
- They cannot be lost or stolen.
- They have hyperlinks which make them easy to navigate.
- You can download them immediately without waiting.
- They are usually less expensive than paper books.
- We can make out-of-print books available as an digital book.
- You can find the exact book you want - it is always in stock

Question: Where can I use my digital book?
Answer: You can use the digital book on any personal computer including IBM and Apple computers, laptop or hand held device. However, if you are using a hand held with a small screen it may limit your reading experience (you are going to be doing a lot of scrolling). All of our digital books do have an audio feature which allows you to hear the digital ook. You can use your digital book on any device that you own. Your are not limited in the number of times you can copy the digital book.
Question: How does the digital book compare with the original printed book?
Answer: The digital book has the same content as the original book, and in most cases the content has been updated with recent corrections. Some of the digital books also have built in hyperlinks. These hyperlinks allow you, with a single click, to move quickly and easily to your desired location in the book. We have placed hyperlinks on useful pages, such as quizzes, connecting the questions and answers. Our digital books also have bookmarks that allow you to move quickly to a particular chapter or subsection.
Question: Can I print all or part of my digital book?
Answer: Yes - we have not placed any printing restrictions on the digital books. In most cases, the graphics in the digital book are optimised for viewing on a monitor, and therefore there is a lower resolution than is required for print. If the digital book is printed, then some of the pictures and images in the  digital book would not come out as clearly as the original printed book.
Question: Can I copy the digital book?
Answer: Yes - but only to load the digital books you have purchased onto other digital book readers or computers you own. Distribution to anyone else outside your household is a violation of copyright.
Question: Once I purchase a digital book, will it always be available?
Answer: Yes. There is no expiry date on your digital book. It cannot be lost or stolen. Our purchasing system will allow you up to 30 days to complete the download of your digital book, and you can download the digital book up to three times within those 30 days without additional support.
If you have lost your digital book and your download period has expired, you can still contact us for support. We keep a record of all purchases of digital books. If you have purchased a digital book from us and need to download it again, just contact us and we will make it available to you. Question: Can I make backups of my digital books?
Answer: Yes, in the same way that you would make backups of any other important documents, music or files on your computer. You can create backup disks of your  digital books and save your digital book library in a secure location on a removable storage device such as a zip drive, CD-ROM, DVD or any other data archiving process.
Question: The .PDF, .ePUB and .MOBI for one price?? What's the catch?
Answer: There is no catch!! We at The Bridge Shop understand that the PDF, ePUB and MOBI formats have their advantages and disadvantages, and we do not want our customers to have to choose just one -- we want you to enjoy reading your digital books! That's why we have decided to sell all three versions together for one price. This also takes away the worry or anxiety about having purchased the wrong type of file.
Question: What's the difference between the PDF format, ePUB format and MOBI format?
Answer: A PDF format is an electronic copy of the printed book, and the placement of items on the page are static and will never move. This makes the PDF format ideal for printing, and possibly viewing on your computer monitor. A PDF format is more difficult to read on small readers where the page size of the reader is not as large as the original book because the PDF doesn't scale easily to be viewed on different sizes.

An ePUB format, on the other hand, is a long stream of text and images that can be re-flowed easily to different sizes of viewing. Having text that re-flows makes increasing font sizes while maintaining readability much easier. This makes the ePUB format ideal for electronic reading devices such as the iPad, Sony Reader, Kindle, Kobo, and others. The disadvantage of the ePUB format is that it is not as pleasant to read if the ePUB version is printed.

A MOBI format is a kindle-friendly digital book format. Your Kindle will not read the ePUB format. This format can only be read on a Kindle, unless you have some other device that specifically indicates you can use .MOBI format.
Question: Which digital book format should I use?
Answer: For viewing your digital book on a computer or for printing off pages, we recommend using the PDF format. For reading on an electronic device such as an iPhone, iPad, Sony Reader, Kobo, etc., we recommend using the ePUB format. Use the MOBI format for the Kindle. Most readers will support the ePUB version natively, but some require a little extra finesse to get your digital book loaded to your device. For more information, visit our page, How do I load my digital book to my Reading device?.
Question: I already bought the PDF format. Why should I get the ePUB or MOBI version?
Answer: The first reason is that it would be free (assuming we can find proof of your original purchase. See next question for details). The ePUB / MOBI versions have advantages over the PDF version when viewing the digital book on a reading device. The biggest advantage is that the text can flow to the exact size of your reading device so scrolling is not a problem. The ePUB / MOBI version also makes increasing the font size in your reader much easier.
Question: I  purchased the PDF format a while ago and the ePUB / MOBI version was just released. Can I still get the ePUB/MOBI formats?
Answer: Yes! As long as we still have record of your original purchase, we can send you an ePUB or a MOBI version of your previously-purchased digital book. Simply email us at bridge@bridgeshop.com.au with your order number.
Question: Is there an extra charge to get the PDF, ePUB and MOBI digital book?
Answer: NO! We at The Bridge Shop understand that the PDF, ePUB and MOBI formats are useful in different reading situations, and we want to take away the stress of choosing the right format by offering all three together for one price.
Question: Are the digital Books sold on this site protected with Digital Rights Management (DRM)?
