ZEROING IN ON DECLARER'S DISTRIBUTION

Mystery Suits: If partner has joined in the bidding and you can see five cards between you and dummy in an unbid major, assume the suit is divided 4-4. Surely the suit would have been mentioned if either player had five cards in that major.
